Water Quality

Dominion Water and Sanitation District routinely monitors a variety of water quality parameters throughout the system to ensure the water that reaches our customers is of the highest quality.

The table below shows some of this data that may be of interest, particularly for those who may brew beer or own a fish tank. Our goal is to update this data twice a year. Thank you!

Data through: July 2025

Acronym List

  • MCL: Maximum Contaminant Level
  • ppm: parts per million – Also known as milligrams per liter (mg/L)
  • SMCL: Secondary Maximum Contaminant Level
  • μS/cm: microsiemens per centimeter

Each year, we also produce a full water quality report, ensuring that water provided by Dominion is meeting or exceeding state and federal regulatory standards and is safe to drink. Take a look at the 2025 report here.
